bio:

M.K. Carr is a writer and pop culture junkie from Philadelphia, PA. Over the last decade she’s written criticism of music, film, television, and books, with expertise in areas including Taylor Swift, romantic comedy, teen soaps, and more.

After graduating from Emerson College with a BA in Visual & Media Arts: Writing for Film & TV and a minor in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked as a production assistant, script reader, and celebrity blogger. Currently based in New York, M.K. most recently worked as a Staff Writer at The A.V. Club.

M.K.’s byline also appears in Entertainment Weekly, ScreenRant, and Collider. Her previous experience also includes internships with EW and NBC Universal Cable Productions, as well as serving as Project Coordinator for Drexel University’s Vision 2020. She hopes to build a career working with people who love watching, creating, and talking about media as much as she does.

M.K.'s favorite things are sitcoms, romance novels, and pizza.
